I came home from the grocery store the other day with this loot. My husband took one look at me and sarcastically said... "mmmm can I have some?" I know this is probably appalling to most of you, but when I saw them on the shelf I couldn't resist. I had a love/hate relationship with tomato products. I would crave ketchup. Fries were a means of eating ketchup, not just any ketchup either. It had to be heinz from the packets. The "hate" part of the relationship is the smell of ketchup or the sight of oozing tomato seeds would make me puke. I also loved the sweet and sour sauce from McDonalds. Now both of my kids love that sauce. Is there a connection?....I think so. :)

I didn't have too many crazy cravings. In fact, the cravings I did have were good cravings to have. I craved anything juicy. Even saying the word "juicy" brings back memories. Apples, pineapple, watermelon, pears, and yes even tomatoes (much to Jim's disgust). So, not too bad really.
Ok so i haven't checked your blog for awhile so when i saw "cravings" I thought hmmm what does that mean!!! Congrats! That is so exciting!!! #3 is crazy, let me warn you, But also so much fun... I am excited to see what it's going to be, You are finding out right? Mandy-
So funny! I had Taco Bell cravings at first with Jonathon, but after the 3rd time going there in two weeks I despised it! The thought of any fast food for the rest of my pregnancy made me feel sick. Weird huh? But good in a way :) In the spring I craved girl scout cookies and even called the head director to see if I could have some shipped to me! Jake got a kick out of that one. In the summer I craved watermelon 24/7.
I seem to recall the little debbies being locked up in the fridge! Yes, lock and chain around the fridge which we jimmied. By the way, it's all about the star cruches!
I craved turkey sandwiches on a croissant, and watermelon in the middle of winter. I also wanted pork tacos from Chipotle...yummy! And probably the most annoying craving was ice....I couldn't get enough! I even knew which gas stations had the "good" ice and would drive 20 minutes just to get it. IF I had to, I would fill a HUGE cup of ice and soften it by adding hot water and dumping it out...creating my soft, yummy ice! Isn't THAT wierd!!!
That's awesome. I laughed out loud. I never had a little Debbie until college, and when my friend was so shocked about it she raved about how cheap they were and I wouldn't eat one. Then, without knowing it I had one at FHE or on a temple trip or something. I can't believe you get away with eating that kind of stuff! YUM!???
Oh, what do I crave? I don't really have cravings when I'm pregnant but before being pregnant with Ruby, I was a salt-aholic...I would choose popcorn or peanuts over chocolate or ice cream any day. Then when I was pregnant with her, I just started lovign sweets. It's never gone away!
gross Meems. I always craved Mexican until the day that you and I ate those GIANT Mazatlan burritos. I still have a stomach ache from those!
The most disgusting thing of all time was me eating 2 hot dogs(covered in mustard) a day for an entire month when I was expecting Grace! She turned out all right, but I wouldn't suggest it...
P.S. This was Jayna's post, NOT Tylers! I didn't realize I was signed in as him! He would be appalled- he certainly didn't eat that much processed meat!
I craved INDIAN FOOD! An unlikely choice since the spice would send most women into labor. Also, I remember telling Travis I NEEDED a quesadilla and a popsicle in the middle of the night. He actually got up and got it...bless his heart.
cravings=
1. chili cheese fries (totally healthy right?!!) bret knew all the places in provo/orem area that served good chili cheese fries
2.tuna casserole....ewwww....seriously this stuff makes me gag just thinking about it but when I was pregnant I kept eating it..so gross! *dry heaving*
3. sour patch kids
4. cafe rio salad (fajita grilled chicken, pinto beans, tomatillo dressing,...) I still crave this once or twice a week and I'm not even pregnant..but when I was pregnant I had this everyday for the first three months. even on sundays, I would go on saturday and get 2 salads...I'm soo not even kidding right now :)
You are so funny! There is no explaining cravings. Like when I was pregnant with Anna and would crave McDonald's cheeseburgers. Yeah, ew. I also craved orange juice, simply orange is the best for sure, soda which I never drank before I was pregnant but now love and brownies. And Cafe Rio, but I don't think that one counts because I crave it all the time without being pregnant ;) Totally cute post, Mimi.
Those are awesome cravings! (Only foods you can get away with when you're pregnant. You deserve it..so indulge!)
With my first baby I craved Mexican food. I was in France when I found out I was pregnant and I couldn't wait to get back to the states and have some yummy chips and salsa!
Great cravings Mimi. I made patty melts (Shawn had never seen one before) and Popsicles when I was pregnant. Even went and bought a Popsicle mold because I was eating so many and wanted good juice ones instead of the sugar water cheap ones.
I got a kick out of this post. My mom also had a Little Debbie drawer that was always filled with all kinds of different Little Debbie snacks. I really like the swiss rolls (?), nutty bars, and around V-day, those heart shaped pink ones. I also would eat several a day. My husband hates it when I eat them now because he says, "They are just pure sugar. That's not even good for you." We also had Sunny D; California style is the best.
When I was pregnant with Ella, I craved Jimmy John's (don't know if you have those around you. They are a sandwich shop) ham and cheese sandwiches. I ate them at least once a week for the first few months.
