Mia's Hybrid operation looking good.

The procedure took about 3 1/2 hours and went well. She is in her post op room now and vitals are stable. The incision is about 2" long, and centered on her chest. Her and mom have twin scars. I am sure that they will have a special bond as they share similar heart problems. We look forward to the possibility of her becoming stable enough to take her home while waiting for a heart.

This is GREAT news! I'm so glad the procedure was a success, and to hear that baby Mia seems to be recovering well. Does Mia have the same heart condition as Mimi? I agree that they will have a special bond because of their special hearts. Mimi is one of the most genuine and compassionate people I know and has a heart of gold...I'm sure Mia will too!

That would be wonderful if you get to take Mia home. I hope that day comes really soon...as well as the day that her new heart comes! Love you guys!

We are so glad to learn that Mia's surgery was successful! She has been in all our thoughts and prayers ALL day.
I think because of Mia, my doctor is being extra cautious regarding my pregancy--even though I'm not lucky enough to be blood-related to Mimi. Today I had an ultrasound times 3--in other words 3 different people did the ultrasound to check our baby's heart. They weren't satisfied with the view of the aorta so now I get to visit with the children's cardiologist next week. I'm really not worried--but it is a strange feeling--and I feel just a teensy bit more connected to all you have been facing.
Again, we all pray for you--Levi worries about it most, I think.
Love you guys!

My heart goes out to you and little Mia! Glad all the procedures are going well! She is a strong and tough little woman! You and your family will stay in my prayers! She will grow up to be just as beautiful, smart, and healthy as you are Mimi! Keep the faith and Enjoy her while she is a little cutie...they grow up way too fast!

Awesome! I'm glad things continue to go well, despite the circumstances. Suz and I still pray every night for the little one and her heart. She is a sweet little girl. I can't wait to meet her.

I'm so glad the surgery went well. I truly believe our Heavenly Father holds our special Heart Babies in his arms when we can not.

May you all be strengthened as Mia waits for her new heart.

Much Love,
Crystal

Mimi..I found your blog on Sara Epps. You look incredibly gorgeous as ever, and have the cutest family. Your children are absolutely beautiful. I hope Mia continues to do well, and everything goes smoothly. Since I found your blog, I have been checking for updates, and am just so happy to hear your little girl is doing so well. She and your family will continue to be in my prayers. I hope to keep in touch with you Mimi. I don't even know where you guys live, but if you are in Utah let me know. I would love to come for a visit, or if you ever need anything I would be there for you.... Take care,
