Girl Friends

Two of my favorite people stopped by and MADE MY DAY! I had plans to go to dinner with two girls I taught dance with at the Y. When they came to pick me up, they danced their way into the room with costumes on. Their dance was a fabulous routine to "everybody dance now." It was a welcome distraction from my continual desire to pull my hair out :-) One of the nurses held Mia up so she could watch too. I'm not sure that she is able to focus that far away yet, but it was thoughtful. I will upload the video- when I make some room on my hard drive. They were wearing disguises, along with their huge tutu's. No one will ever know who the mystery dancers are. Oh wait, I am posting a picture of them. Ooops!! It was a fabulous night- after a minor parking fiasco and a lot of laughing- I feel slightly human again.

Thanks for the very entertaining cheering up- I needed it!!

I just wanted to let you know that I have been thinking about you. We were doing the same waiting game last year at this time as well. It is hard and takes all of the faith and energy that you have. It is exhausting. Please know we are thinking of you. Let me know if I can do anything for you.

With Hope, Faith and Love,
Shauntelle and Kaidence

Mimi, glad you had a great time with your friends. You can never take a bad picture, even with everything going on you look beautiful as does Mia. She takes after her mommy. Let's get that baby a heart so she can come watch you play softball:)Sorry I hit your leg! Hang in there Mimi. We love you and your family is always in our prayers!

I am so glad you had friends nearby to take you out for the night. As much as you want to be there and do everything as Mia's mom, it is great for you to get out every now and then too. You look wonderful, and Mia still melts my heart. By the way... looking at Boonie's wedding pics just shocked me. She still just seems so young to me. She was always just your little sister. When did she grow up and become so beautiful? I am glad you and your other two got to go to her wedding!

Hey Mimi
It was so good to meet you both at the meeting on Sunday. Thank you for your sweet comments about Wren. Of course I agree that he is delightful and gorgeous but little Mia is awfully sweet too and my heart is really torn with feelings of compassion and frustration/anger that we can't DO anything. I am by nature a fixer-upper and feel really deeply for you that you cannot do what is in your heart and just make it all better.

I know time must be creeping right now and that it is easy to be wise with hindsight but you know this will pass and we are all holding you and your little sweetie in our thoughts. I hope she was more perky yesterday and today.

We can't do the one thing you really want but if you would like a visitor on Friday - just let me know.
