Hallelujah

I got to HOLD her today!! My heart is soooo happy! We had a nurse who decided to put the doctors in their place. She has a reputation for doing so- so we were happy to get her today. Mia did wonderfully. Now, maybe they will be a little more relaxed- because they know she can tolerate it. I love this kid!!

*we really have a BA- zillion pictures like this... so get ready for more ;-) You can barely see her face right now... this one is much better! Isn't she stinking darling??? Just had to share my tidbit of good news.

I was so happy to hear you got to hold her. She really is such a beautiful baby. Tiffani B. made the CUTEST name sign for her door so I'll have to find someone who is going up there soon and give it to them. Or if you come down sooner let me know!!!

I found your blog through Madison Allred's and have been praying for your sweet, sweet girl lots lately. My heart goes out to you as I continue to storm Heaven with prayer.

P.S. I noticed your son's name is Jensen...we also have a Jensen! Thought that was kind of neat since it's not a very common name. :)

That's such a great thing! And you two are such beautiful ladies! I am so glad that the nurses are on your side- sometimes those doctors forget the importance of physical connection in healing and overall health. Hope to see you guys again soon!

Hello Mimi and little Miss. Mia.
My name is Michelle, i'm a heart mom in California. I don't know how I stumbled on your blog, but I am now a huge Mia fan.

I am so thankful for the nurses that KNOW how much just holding your baby can heal you. I know that physical touch is something that helps to heal our heart babies, but sometimes it heals our souls a little too. I pray for Mia everyday and tell everyone that I know about her, she is constantly thought of, she is touching lives.

Here's praying for a new heart.

What a relieving experience. It must feel like a dose of the happies to get a break from having to just look at her. I'm sure she was in a blissful state as well.

YEAH!! Those precious moments when they are in your arms help to get through the long days. I'm sure if she could talk she'd be just as excited as you are to have been in your arms.
I'm not sure if I've ever even commented before, but ever since you commented on our blog I have been reading yours and I have to tell you how much you and your Mia have impacted my life since then. You are incredible for enduring this trying time as well as you are. I can't even imagine what each day holds for you right now. I think about you and Mia multiple times a day because it is so hard to sit in a hospital room with a sick baby day after day and feel so alone, but usually for Bela, she was moving forward however slowly she was moving. You have been placed in an incredibly difficult situation just waiting for her heart and I commend you for your strength. I want you to know that like SO many others out there, people who know you and people who don't know you, I am praying every day for comfort for you and for her heart to come. She is absolutley angelic and so beautiful. These girls are so special. I'm so glad you got to hold her, and I hope you get to do that many more times..

Hi Mimi ~
I am a close friend of Katie and Maddie Allred and have been watching your blog for a few months now. Mia has touched the "hearts" of so many and our family is constantly praying that Mia receives her new "heart" very quickly. We think of you and your family often and constantly send our prayers and warm wishes to you. Hang in there. Mia is a true blessing (even to those who don't know her). Her strength is couragous and keep the faith....that her heart will arrive soon. Have a wonderful and hold her tight.
