Jensen's Big Day

I have an eight year old... it's true.  He was baptized last week, it was such a special day for him.  It is one of the really really big milestones.  I still can't believe I have a child old enough to get baptized.  Big sigh.

Daddy and his boy.  Jense was so excited for this day. He had to wait a couple weeks after he turned 8.  He kept counting down the days.  This will not be daddy's first baptism.  He baptized many of the people he taught on his mission in Argentina.

I am so proud of this boy! So proud I could just scream it from the rooftops.

It was a joint effort trying to get his CTR pin on him.  Thanks for the pin Grandma Conway

All of the cousins.  Jensen had two cousins come in from Washington.  He was thrilled.  More about their visit coming soon.  It was the highlight of his year!

Jensen looks great in his new suit.  It is a smidgen big... but it will last him a few years.
He looks so handsome!

Signature post major family event picture.  Thanks family for coming!!  I am so happy you were there.

My wee family

When Jensen was sitting next to John waiting to get baptized he whisptered, "I am so lucky."
It makes my heart happy to hear that.

Daddy must goof around... even right after a baptism.  Love my boys.

The lovely ladies. I love my sisters.

Nat and Mia shot- a must have

Grandpa and Jensen.  It was so great for you to drive in for his big day.
We loved having you and can't wait to come back and visit you all!

Jense, Levi, and Eli.  Having these two there was such a treat!  About an hour before they got here, Jensen and I were running to the store for a few things and I was telling him how close they were.  He sat back in his seat and said, "This is the best day of my life!"  He really misses these two.  He had a perfect weekend with them. He has been talking non stop about moving back.  Poor kid.

Grandma and Grandpa and Jense.  Grandma and Grandpa loaded him up with gifts.  They gave him a baptismal book that they wrote their testimonies in, a pin, and a school book.  Also, he got a fancy CTR Towel from Levi. He loves that towel.

Me and my Boy

Sammer Jam was all business getting his grub on.  There is a small window between when he is done eating and when he begins throwing his food.  I completely missed the window, and he dumped his whole plate complete with pink salad on the floor.  so fun.

Mia seems to be all about eating lately which is wonderful!  Yes, that is "melmen" in her hand.  The girl just can't get enough.

After Swiss Days I bought some boxes of Cascos.  mmmmm Cascos.  The kids devoured them.  The adults did too.

A friendly game of musical chairs.  Ethan took charge of musical chairs with his daddy's fancy I-phone.  Musical chairs has never been easier!

Jensen wanted to give everyone "room service" with the drinks.

After the dinner we came back to the house and the boys stayed busy with their electronics...

The girls stayed busy playin with the chairs.

They decided to take a swim at 6:00 pm.  It was definitely warm enough... but they still used water from the house to make a "hot pool." A big thank you to my parents for hosting.

John in his fancy hat.  No, no one put this on his head and he just left it there... he actually retrieved it from the house to wear it.  He was hot I suppose.

The girls again.

My sister started harrasing her son with clothes pis... but only after he was harassing her to drive the car.  He is really really anxious about driving.

He has some years to wait, so the hounding will continue for awhile... unless we buy some more clothes pins.

Sammer jumped in the pool.  If there is water... you can bet Sammers will not stay dry for long.

It was a beautiful day!  Baptisms are so special and something he is going to remember for the rest of his life.  He is such a good kid and was definitely ready for baptism.  Jense, I am so proud of you and think you are the sweetest boy alive.  Thanks for being my son and for bringing so much joy into our lives.  Love you Jense!!

I looooooooooooooove all the pictures! He is so cute, and so not old enough to be doing that! I feel like Ruby is five years older than him just based on how much of a pretween she is and how innocent he is. I just can't believe he got baptized, what an exciting day. Been calling you all day...call me baaaack.

I love your blog. There's something about the way you write and the pictures you take that keeps me wanting more. Yay for Jensen. And, "I am so lucky." How cool is that. He's a great kid.

I cannot believe that that is little Jense getting baptized! The picture of you and John and him makes me think that he should be all swaddled up in a blessing blanket! And there he is all dapper in a suit! Time really does go so quickly, doesn't it? What an awesome kid he is, and it looks like his special day was perfect. Also you look so beautiful, Mimi!
